I don't get the hate. This is an American-born company doing quite well for itself despite the economic troubles and its somewhat luxurious product, and they treat their employees very well including giving them health insurance. Why should we begrudge them their success?
But having one store on every block is an eyesore, much less having three on one block. In addition, I think if you need your coffee in a gigantic paper cup you need to calm down and learn how to enjoy life. Starbucks took something beautiful like the café culture of Europe and made it stupid by catering to the misplaced priorities of Americans.
